AI Chat — Terms & Conditions
Version: chat-terms-v1 — Last updated: August 31, 2026
These terms govern your use of Solar Prism, the AI chat feature (hereafter “the Chat”) inside the 84beings.com explore app. They are separate from and additional to the Terms & Conditions that cover purchases of digital and physical products. Where the Chat is concerned, these terms control.
You agree to these terms at checkout, before you pay for chat access, and again in the app whenever we make material changes. The version shown to you at the moment you agree is the version that governs your access. By agreeing, you confirm that you have read and understood the points below.
1. You must be 18 or older
The Chat is for adults only. By agreeing to these terms you represent that you are at least 18 years of age. If you are under 18, do not purchase or use the Chat.
2. You are talking to an AI, not a person
The Chat is an automated software system powered by a third-party large language model. It is not a human being, and it is not an astrologer, counselor, therapist, doctor, lawyer, financial adviser, or any other kind of licensed professional. It has no professional relationship with you and owes you none of the duties a licensed professional would.
The Chat can make mistakes, misremember, or state things that are wrong. Treat what it says as reflection and creative exploration, not as fact, diagnosis, or advice you should act on without your own judgment.
3. What the Chat is for
The Chat offers reflection and learning through the Aditya system — mirroring your questions back through your chart’s beings, and explaining the system itself. It is offered for personal reflection, contemplation, study, and entertainment.
Nothing the Chat says constitutes medical, legal, financial, psychological, or other professional advice, and nothing it says is a prediction of future events. Decisions about your health, relationships, finances, safety, or legal situation are yours to make, ideally with a qualified professional. You use the Chat’s reflections at your own discretion and risk.
4. Safety and crises
The Chat is not a crisis service, a helpline, or an emergency resource, and it cannot summon help on your behalf. It is not monitored by a human in real time.
If you are in immediate danger, or you are thinking about harming yourself or someone else, stop and contact your local emergency services or a crisis helpline right now. If the Chat detects language suggesting present-tense danger, it is designed to step out of its normal register, tell you plainly what it is, and point you toward real resources — but it can miss such signs, and it is never a substitute for professional or emergency help. Our approach to these situations is described in our written crisis-response policy, available on request at hello@84beings.com.
5. Sensitive and belief-related information
Conversations with the Chat may naturally touch on your spiritual, religious, or philosophical beliefs and other personal reflections. Under data-protection law some of this can be special-category (sensitive) personal data.
By agreeing to these terms, you give your explicit consent for us and our processors to handle this information for the sole purpose of operating the Chat and providing your reflections — as described in these terms and our Privacy Policy. This consent is the legal basis for that processing, and you can withdraw it at any time by ceasing to use the Chat and deleting your conversations (see Section 7); withdrawal does not affect processing that already took place.
Please share only what you are comfortable sharing. You do not need to give the Chat your full name, contact details, or other identifying information for it to be useful, and we encourage you not to.
6. How your conversations are handled
Encryption at rest. Your conversation content is encrypted where we store it, so that a casual glance at our database or a backup leak yields unreadable data rather than your words.
Our AI provider. To generate responses, your messages are sent to our third-party AI provider (currently Google, via its Gemini models). The provider necessarily processes your messages in plain text to produce a reply. We use the provider under business/API terms with model-training use disabled, so your text is not used to train their models. The provider may retain content for a limited period for its own abuse-monitoring and security purposes, which means deletion is not instantaneous on their side. You can read the provider’s current data-handling and retention practices in its own data policy: Google Gemini API — data usage and retention, and how we handle your data in our Privacy Policy.
Review for improving the service. To improve the Chat, Josh (the operator) may read conversations in pseudonymized form — with account identifiers stripped — through an audited internal tool. Pseudonymized is not the same as anonymized: because you may mention identifying details in free text, we do not claim your conversations are fully anonymous. This review is optional and separate from these terms. Agreeing to these terms does not opt you in — you choose whether to allow it, and can turn it on or off at any time in the app. Leaving it off does not affect your use of the Chat in any way; if you turn it on, that separate choice is the legal basis for the review.
7. Retention, lapse, and deletion
Deleting a conversation. When you delete a conversation, we destroy the key that decrypts it. In production this makes the content immediately unreadable to us, and it becomes fully unrecoverable once it has aged out of our database backups, within roughly a 30-day window. We cannot recover a deleted conversation for you.
When your access lapses. If your access expires and you do not renew, your existing conversations remain viewable in read-only form for six months, so that resubscribing brings them back. After that period they are permanently deleted on a schedule by the same key-destruction method described above.
8. Access, usage, and billing
A month that simply expires. By default, chat access is a single month that expires on its own — there is no automatic recurring charge unless you explicitly opt in to recurring billing.
Ample usage, no meter. Your access comes with ample usage limits meant to comfortably cover normal, personal, reflective use. You will not see a token counter or a running dollar meter. To keep the service healthy for everyone, we apply fair-use limits and may pause or slow responses in cases of automated, abusive, or clearly excessive use.
No refunds. Access is sold as a fixed one-month term. All sales of chat access are final — refunds, returns, cancellations, and pro-rated credits are not available, including if you stop using the Chat before the month ends. This does not affect any statutory rights you may have that cannot be waived.
9. Acceptable use
You agree to use the Chat only for your own personal, lawful purposes. You may not:
- Attempt to extract, copy, scrape, resell, or redistribute the proprietary Aditya content the Chat draws on, or claim it as your own.
- Attempt to make the Chat ignore its instructions or safety boundaries, reach content or data you are not entitled to, or reach another user’s data.
- Use the Chat to generate unlawful, harmful, or abusive content, or use it on behalf of anyone under 18.
- Use automated means to access the Chat, or use it in a way that places an unreasonable load on the service.
We may suspend or terminate access that violates these terms, without refund.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time, and each version is numbered. The version you agreed to at checkout governs your access. When we make a material change, the app will ask you to review and agree to the new version before you continue using the Chat.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ninth House Studios LLC’s total liability for any claim arising from your use of the Chat shall not exceed the amount you paid for the chat access in question. In no event shall Ninth House Studios LLC be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any decision you make in reliance on anything the Chat says.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Indiana, without regard to conflict-of-law provisions.
